The president was said to have ordered the DSS which reportedly interrogated Oshiomhole to stay away from party affairs -
He reportedly instructed that any petition(s) about infractions in the party should be sent to appropriate agencies, not the DSS In the wake of a reported interrogation of the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole, by operatives of the Department of State Service (DSS), President Muhammadu Buhari has reportedly asked the secret agency to stay away from party affairs.

The Nation reports that President Buhari said that any petition(s) about infractions in the party should be sent to appropriate agencies, not the DSS. Citing an anonymous source, the newspaper reports that the president has also appealed to those aggrieved among APC governors to sheathe the swords. Oshiomhole also wondered if it was the duty of the DSS to carry out such interrogation. The Cable reported Oshiomhole as saying he “saw DSS only once and it was a conversation, not an arrest or detention.

” Oshiomhole added: “The conversation centered around APC primaries. The question now is whether or not it is the DSS job to interfere in a political party’s issues. “And if there’s an allegation of corruption, it is the responsibility of EFCC and ICPC.”

The national chairman of the APC said he was not asked to report the following day as was speculated. He explained that he had to shift his travelling because of a meeting he had with President Buhari
