Presidency floors Jonathan over claim on corruption in Buhari's govt

Presidency carpets Jonathan, describes his claim on corruption as false
The Former President Goodluck Jonathan had claimed that there is more corruption in Nigeria under Buhari's watch if compared to that of his government - Garba Shehu, the special assistant to Buhari on media and publicity, described Jonathan's claim as absolute false
Nigerian presidency has reacted to former president Goodluck Jonathan's claims that there is more corruption in the country under President Muhammadu Buhari's watch than when he was in office.
The presidency's reaction was contained in statement issued on Thursday, November 22, by the senior special assistant to the president on media and publicity, Garba Shehu, in Abuja. Shehu described Jonathan's claim as absolute false, adding that the facts on ground run contrary to the former president's 'outlandish' claim. The statement read:
"The Presidency rejects former president, Dr Goodluck Jonathan’s astonishing claim, to the utter surprise of many, that there is more corruption in the country compared to when he left office. This is absolutely untrue. The facts on the ground today run contrary to his outlandish claim”
The former president and his party have nothing to say about achievements. They ruled the country for 16 years and what is their record on jobs, power, rail, seaports, airports and internal security, including the crippling disaster of terrorism”
